Research Interest

I earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Teaching and learning (Mathematics Education) in 2018 from the University of Iowa where my dissertation was “Bridge the gap between cognitive attributes and mathematics achievement: Which cognitive attributes for mathematical modeling contributed to better learning in mathematics?” under the advisement of Dr. Kyong Mi Choi and Dr. Brian Hand. My dissertation is recognized by the Iowa Academy of Education as an Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award.

Resume

At the University of Iowa, I also earned a Master of Art in in Psychological and Quantitative Foundations (Educational Measurement and Statistics) and a Master of Art in Teaching and Learning (Mathematics Education). Before these, I attended Seoul National University, South Korea. where I graduated in 2012 with a Master of Science in Mathematics Education under the advisement of Dr. Sang Kwon Jung. In 2008, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Seoul National University.
